First Photo Shoot

I told my friends that I'm trying to start my own photography business.
So Danielle and her family offered to be my first guinea pigs.
Here's a few teasers and the rest are on my webalbum.

For those photography experts out there.
Nearly all my photos came out too dark. I took them during the day, how can I fix that?

Thanks everyone.

Les, absofreakinlutely you're next.

Just let me figure out the lighting issue first. Or take a class on photography.

Jess,

Buy this book or get it from the library. It will help immensely and answer your concern about photos being too dark:

There are some good pictures in there. What kind of camera do you have?

Nate,
Thanks for the book suggestion. I'll check it out. You're the go-to family member.

Jeff,
I have a Pentax (not sure of the model) but it's an SLR and it's only got 1 lens.

Nicole,
Thanks so much!

Photoshop is on my wishlist. . .
Mother's Day is coming up, isn't it? Maybe Mark will get the hint :)

Jessica, I have a version you can use. Its not CS3 which you really need. Or CS4 which is the newest one. But I have elements you can load. It's a great place to start. Also, try ilovephotography.com
I have a friend photographer that turned me on to it. I love it so far. The free forum is a great place to start. You can get lots of help with your work. I just joined and am finding it very helpful. It makes me feel like I have no business taking pictures but makes me want to get better.
